Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research

Last year Universities Australia, the NHMRC, and the ARC published the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. All Australian universities must be compliant with this Code, not least to receive NHMRC/ARC funding. Some time in 2008 the Vice-Chancellor will be asked to certify that Macquarie is compliant with the Code.

A copy of the Code is on Macquarie's website: http://www.research.mq.edu.au/policy/policies/code.

All research staff are requested to access this document and familiarise themselves with, and to ensure that they consult it as necessary as a guide to responsible conduct in their research. Heads of Departments are also requested to draw the attention of their staff to this code.

While every effort is made to update it intermittently, the respective websites should be consulted for deadline dates and changing conditions.
Please also note that the Macquarie research office should be consulted prior to application, as they will likely require an earlier internal submission. )
