Links
The main aim of this page is to provide links to Australian resources, institutions and exhibitions. Extensive links to international museums and institutions holding ancient coins are provided on the web site of the American Numismatic Society. One should also consult the information from the International Numismatic Commission, held on the same site; the INC now issues an e-News letter. The ANS site also provides access to the database of the Society's library and to the publication Numismatic Literature.

Australian Society for Ancient Numismatics
ASAN was established in Sydney in 1988. It was formed by collectors of ancient coins in New South Wales who wanted to have a venue in which to talk about their mutual interests. The initial forming committee consisted of Colin Pitchfork, Jon Hosking and David Worland. The collectors were all visitors to Noble Numismatics, and through the generosity of Jim Noble and Colin Pitchfork the office of this company in Macquarie Street has become the regular meeting place of the society.
ASAN meets monthly at Noble Numismatics in Sydney. Those wishing to attend are invited to contact Colin Pitchfork on 02-92234578.
