the ancient world. The lectures are designed with an emphasis
on the study of the coins held in the collection of the Australian Centre
for Ancient Numismatic Studies. There are two main course components:
A. the theory and methodology of numismatics;
B. the coinages of Mediterranean
societies.
In 2005 the course will be offered in second semester. Classes will be in the ACANS library, X5B Room 341.
